With that, there was a sort of surge for men and women to do the new thing, they needed NCOs and officers that had been in the prior USAAF, but also offered a lot to the Infantryman who was through with marching so to speak, and talented michanics and radio experts, and the new field of rocketry and missiles, some were drawn in for better wages, and other benefits, others just had trouble with their commanders, and wanted somewhere different, and others wanted education at least, it was a new mix, a new bread of military, and not the jet age had come to age, and the nuclear weapon had stepped into the scene, it was a new era, and the world would never be the same
