Marks Vietnam War Helicopter Models:

Huey UH-1 Vietnam Era Helicopters:

“1/7 Cav.” UH1D “Slick”, and the other Uh1-B from the “Muskets” Gun Platoon. The prior 2 models were the 1/35th scale and kits, the last picture though is a UH1D in 1/32nd scale, by Revel! I had made a couple of those ( one I hoped was like my uncle’s had been), but this one I made special for my neighbor’s brother! He has served with the “Rattlers” in Vietnam, and I got $200.00 for it, I did a ton of research to get it right, I was in the First House I ever owned, and thought the world of my Neighbor, A State Patrolman, as was his brother! He Moved, and then I moved and never saw them again, I had months of work into it, and guess it was broken in two days, that’s why I say, you have to put them in a case, and I’m sure he had no idea how much work went into that mode, made the interior from pretty much scratch, with the crew and its riders all from scratch, his brother in the doo, manning an M60, I scratch built 2 of these with the duel pistol grips he said they had, and even the chicken plate over the figures torso-with a survival knife attached to it as he had said he had done. oh well, one shouldn’t put that kind of hard work you know will get broken, or given away, that’s not what was expected either, he didn’t have any idea how obsessive I am about models.,

The ‘OH6A-LOA’ or “Loch” from the “Outcasts”:

I made this when I was maybe 20, or so, and it was a simple, 1/35th scale kit, that…well was simple, but didn’t fit particularly well together, I cut the doors off and scratch-built the crewmen, it’s not my best now, but I was very proud of it when I made it was quite a challenge.
